Duties of the Town Board
Town of Alexandria is governed by a Supervisor and Town Council who are elected by the people of the Town. The Supervisor and Town Council acting together are the Governing Body. The Supervisor serves a term of two-years and Town Council serves a term of four-years. The Governing Body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies.
